Dance of the Hours

A 'melting clock' desktop sculpture, inspired by Salvador Dali's painting 'The Dance of Time'

Damn - it's that time of year, again.

The clocks in the UK go back again this weekend, ending the idyll of 'British Summer Time'. Over there, it suddenly starts getting dark really early. Over here (South-East Asia, my adopted home of the last several years), Premier League start-times are now 7 hours behind England rather than 6 hours - which puts all of the later kick-offs completely out of reach of a live watch. Bugger.

Just to make things even more discombulating for us poor folks on 'foreign soil',... the changeover happens in the early hours of Sunday morning back in the UK: so, today's games are at their 'normal' time, but... tomorrow's are an hour later. (All around my manor, there will be chaps turning up to sports bars at 8pm this Sunday and being bemused to find nothing happening.)

Winter - I do not like it, for so many, many reasons; but this is one of them.
